Ohio’s attorney general on Thursday said he’ll elevate a deputy solicitor general in his office to the top appellate advocacy role in the state, after her soon-to-be predecessor was confirmed to a key Justice Department role.
Mathura Sridharan will become solicitor general early next month, Attorney General Dave Yost (R) said in a news release. She’ll succeed T. Elliot Gaiser, who on Wednesday was confirmed by the US Senate to lead the DOJ’s Office of Legal Counsel.
