Ocean Spray Cranberries Inc. ended its dispute with a soda maker that accused the company of infringing its “wave” trademarks, at least for now.
The Massachusetts-based beverage maker voluntarily dismissed a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts in which it sought an order directing the Patent and Trademark Office to cancel Wedge Water LLC’s “New Wave” trademark. The mark is likely to confuse customers and was secured through improper means, Ocean Spray said.
The company didn’t give a reason for the dismissal.
