Obama Nominates Appellate Litigator Edward DuMont to Serve on Federal Circuit

The Obama administration nominated April 14 Edward Carroll DuMont to fill the anticipated vacancy on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit as Chief Judge Paul R. Michel retires from the court May 31.

“Ed DuMont has distinguished himself throughout his legal career in both the public and private sectors,” President Obama said in a press release. “He possesses a keen intellect and a commitment to fairness and integrity that will serve him well as a judge on the Federal Circuit.”
