NXP Semiconductors NV must pay Impinj Inc. $18.5 million after a federal jury in California found it infringes two patents for technologies that improve the connectivity and sensitivity of tags used to wirelessly track inventory.
Jurors in Oakland, Calif., returned the verdict July 14 in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, an Impinj spokesperson said in a statement on Monday. The verdict hadn’t yet been docketed as of 1 p.m. Oakland time.
