Nvidia Fights Venue Discovery as It Asks to Transfer Patent Suit

Nvidia Corp. and Microsoft Corp. said a district judge in Texas should deny a patent-owning plaintiff’s request for venue discovery as the court considers whether to transfer the suit over chips that power artificial intelligence to California.

Xockets Inc. has failed to show any fraud or misconduct in Nvidia’s bid to transfer the case or “any reason to believe that additional information obtained through discovery would alter the outcome” of the transfer motion, Nvidia wrote in a fiing Tuesday.
