Norwegian Air Sued by Nordax Over Bank Norwegian Brand Name

Nordax Bank AB filed a lawsuit against Norwegian Air Shuttle ASAfor the right to use the Bank Norwegian brand, 19 months after buying the lending unit set up by the airline.

The Swedish bank’s Norwegian unit filed the lawsuit in the Oslo District Court on May 23 “as a precautionary measure to protect its intellectual property,” it said Wednesday. Nordax also plans a strategic review of its cooperation on credit cards with Norwegian Air in the second half.
