Northwestern, Teradyne Settle $6.6 Million Robot-Tech Lawsuit

A federal judge agreed to dismiss a patent infringement lawsuit between Northwestern University and Teradyne Inc.’s Universal Robots unit as the parties settled the month after a Delaware jury’s $6.6 million verdict against the technology company.

Judge Jennifer Hall of the US District Court for the District of Delaware on Thursday signed off on the parties’ Oct. 30 stipulation for dismissal. Universal Robots and the university told the court they reached a settlement agreement and requested the case be dismissed with prejudice.
