Nokia Hits Paramount with Suit Over Streaming Tech Patents (1)

A Nokia Corp. unit filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Paramount Skydance Corp. after failed attempts to negotiate a license for the use of video streaming technology.

Paramount infringed more than a dozen patents with its subscription services like Paramount+ and Pluto TV, according to Nokia Technologies Oy’s complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. Nokia said Paramount’s activities for providing videos and user authentication are like the protected methods.
