Nokia Fails to Revive Bid to Ax Patent from Settled IPCom Suit

Nokia of America Corp. failed to convinced the Patent Trial and Appeal Board to reconsider its refusal to hear its bid to nix an IPCom GmbH patent that was involved in a now-settled lawsuit.

IPCom sued AT&T Inc., Verizon Wireless, and Sprint Spectrum LP in October 2020 for infringing six patents on wireless communication technology. Nokia intervened because it had supplied AT&T with infringing components and because AT&T had demanded that it defend AT&T from the claims as obligated under their supplier agreement.
