Nissan, GM Hit with Patent Suits Over Camera, Chatbot Tech

Nissan Motor Co. and General Motors LLC placed infringing surround view camera systems and automation tools inside multiple vehicles, a patent owner alleged in a federal lawsuit.

Nissan’s Infiniti Q50 uses similar methods for surround view, according to a complaint filed Thursday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. DigiMedia Tech LLC said Nissan infringes US Patent Nos. 6,567,086 and 6,741,250.
