Ninebot Fails To Limit Lost Profits For Unicycle Patents Trial

Inventist Inc. may seek the full value of profits it alleges its Solowheel lost to sales of Ninebot Ltd.’s competing self-balancing unicycles after a federal judge ruled on a handful of issues in the long-running dispute ahead of a mid-August jury trial.

“The article of manufacture that is the basis for Inventist’s claim for lost profits includes the entire Solowheel device as discussed,” Judge Barbara Jacobs Rothstein wrote in an order issued Wednesday in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington memorializing her rulings at a pretrial conference earlier this week.
