Nike to Face Appeal in 3rd Cir. Over Damages in Trademark Suit

Pennsylvania sportswear company Lontex Corp. filed an appeal to the Third Circuit over its motion for a new trial on damages and its counterfeiting claims in a trademark dispute with Nike Inc.

A jury had previously found Nike liable for contributory trademark infringement of Lontex’s “cool compression” mark on athletic wear and ordered the sportswear giant to pay more than $500,000 in damages.
