Nike Sues L.A. Streetwear Brand Over Allegedly Fake Dunk Shoes

Nike Inc. filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against Warren Lotas and his eponymous streetwear brand in Los Angeles federal court for allegedly selling fake versions of its Nike Dunk sneakers.

According to the complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Lotas’ new line of alleged custom Nike Dunks has caused consumer confusion as to whether they are “legitimate customizations or illegal fakes.” The complaint says Lotas’ shoes are fakes, and Nike never gave the brand permission to make or sell them.
