Nike Inc. owes Lontex Corp. $5.8 million in attorneys fees over their trademark spat in a final judgment as the apparel giant appealed a fees award a second time.
Lontex’s first fees award was nixed in July by the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, which otherwise affirmed Nike’s liability for infringement of the Norristown, Penn.-based company’s “Cool Compression” trademark. The US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania formally entered judgment Monday on the award, three days after Nike appealed the court’s decision that fees were still warranted.
