Nike, Nordstrom Sued by Canadian Fashion Line Over ‘N’ Logo

The makers of a Canadian clothing line that uses a stylized “N” logo accused Nike Inc. and Nordstrom Inc. of trademark infringement in Los Angeles federal court based on their use of an allegedly similar design.

N.T.A.A. Inc. told the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California on Thursday that Nike and Nordstrom “essentially copied” its federally registered “N” trademark for their “Nordstrom x Nike” collaboration.

Both of the logos feature a capitalized letter “N” made of multiple angled lines. N.T.A.A. says that Nike and Nordstrom used their “superior resources” to “essentially hijack” its mark.
