Nike, L.A. Supplier Reach Injunction Deal Over Infringing Shoes

Nike Inc. and Los Angeles manufacturer La La Land Production & Design Inc. ended a trademark dispute after the latter company agreed to permanently stop making and selling its infringing shoes.

The proposed consent judgment, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, said La La Land unintentionally infringed Nike’s protected trademarks and trade dress, which included its swoosh logo, shoe design, and the word “dunk.”

Nike sued in January 2021, alleging that La La Land supplied thousands of fake Nike Dunk sneakers to the streetwear brand Warren Lotas and others.
