The owners of trademarks related to the 1966 surf documentary “Endless Summer” sued
The Champs ads use a similar image to an “Endless Summer” poster that features “a series of stylized blue waves with a large orange sun,” Bruce Brown Films LLC said Tuesday.
Nike and Foot Locker also use the phrase “Endless Summer” in the campaign to promote Nike shoes, shirts, hats, and other products, the complaint said.
