The Seattle Seahawks succeeded in fending off claims in Washington federal court of antitrust violations, trademark infringement, and bad faith dealing in a dispute with PBTM LLC over the “Volume 12" trademark.
“Volume 12" is a reference to the Seahawks’ notoriously loud fans, who are dubbed the “12th man.” PBTM began using the mark on towels, flags, and banners in 2009, and it sued the Seahawks in 2019 for violating antitrust law and a breach of contract.
