NFL’s Chiefs, Cowboys, Seahawks Sued Over Season Tickets Patent

TicketMatrix LLC acused three NFL teams of infringing its patent with their season ticket systems.

Kansas City Chiefs Football Club Inc., Dallas Cowboys LLC, and Seattle Seahawks LLC infringed US Patent No. 7,831,452, which covers enhanced features in ticketing systems, the patent owner said in separate lawsuits filed Wednesday. TicketMatrix sued the Chiefs and Seahawks in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas, and the Cowboys in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
