NFL Settles Copyright Suit With Designer Over New York Jets Logo

The National Football League and New York Jets LLC settled a lawsuit brought against it by a designer accusing the organization of stealing a logo he created for the New York team.

The parties put their dispute to bed a day before the defendants’ response to the complaint was due, with the dismissal order filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York signed by Judge Jessica G. L. Clarke. The parties can reopen the proceeding within 30 days, should the settlement breaks down.
