NFL, NBC Hit With Copyright Suit Over Use of Song ‘Rocket 2U’

The NFL and NBC Universal Media are facing copyright infringement claims over the use of the song “Rocket 2U” during NFL broadcasts, according to a complaint filed in federal court in Manhattan.

Bobby Nunn, the writer and copyright holder of the work, filed the suit Wednesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleging ongoing infringement. Nunn wrote and produced the song, which was recorded by the Jets in 1988.
