Nexstar, CW Network Settle MusicQubed Streaming Patent Lawsuit

The CW Network LLC and its majority owner Nexstar Media Inc. have settled patent infringement allegations lobbed at their mobile app and streaming website by MusicQubed Innovations LLC last November.

The parties notified the court yesterday that “a settlement in principle has been reached to resolve all matters in controversy between” them, according to a filing asking the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas to stay case deadlines as they finalize the agreement. No details of the deal were publicly available, and attorneys for both sides declined to comment on the agreement.
