News Outlets Face Copyright Trouble for Embedding Tom Brady Pic

Time Inc. and several other publishers could be liable for copyright infringement after they embedded a tweet with a picture of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in online articles.

Embedding the tweet, which links to and displays it on a webpage, exercises the right to display a work, a right that belongs to the copyright holder, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said Feb. 15.
