A man who designed the New York Jets logo sued the team and the NFL in New York federal court for stealing his work without compensation.

Jim Pons said he designed the logo used by the Jets from 1978 to 1997 before it was revived in 2023, but the Jets never compensated or secured permission to use it, according to the complaint filed Tuesday at the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
