Nevro Beats Most Boston Scientific Patent Infringement Claims

Eight of Boston Scientific Corp.‘s nine patent infringement claims against Nevro Corp. related to spinal cord stimulation (SCS) treatment for chronic back pain were dismissed by the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware Nov. 25.

Boston Scientific failed to identify how Nevro’s SCS system infringed the patents, but its trade secret claims were allowed to continue.

Boston Scientific and Nevro are both medical device manufacturers that make SCS systems. Boston Scientific sued Nevro in Delaware for infringing nine of its patents and misappropriating its trade secrets.
