Netlist Wins $303 Million in Patent Damages From Samsung (2)

Samsung Electronics Co. must pay $303.15 million for infringing Netlist Inc.’s patented computer memory module technologies, a Texas federal jury found in a case that’s part of sprawling legal duels between the companies.

Jurors in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas on Friday found that Samsung violated five Netlist standard essential patents by continuing to supply products based on those designs after a licensing agreement between the two soured in mid-2020.

Netlist’s stock rose, closing up 22% at $4.00 as of 4 p.m. New York time.
