Nestlé, Danone Settle ‘Silk’ Coffee Creamer Branding Lawsuit

Nestlé USA Inc. is ending its lawsuit alleging that Danone North America‘s “Silk” brand coffee creamers copy the unique branding and packaging designs of its “Natural Bliss” line, according to federal court filings in Virginia.

Nestlé offers Natural Bliss creamers in dairy and plant-based varieties in several flavors, according to its complaint filed in March in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. The company accused Danone of modifying the packaging of its own creamers to “freeride on the goodwill that Nestlé has worked hard to build in its creamers.”
