NBC Hit With Copyright Suit Over Seth Meyers’ Use of Musk Photo

NBCUniversal Media LLC is facing a new lawsuit that claims it aired an image of Elon Musk at the Met Gala on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” without permission.

In a Thursday complaint filed in New York federal court, commercial photo-licensing company Strange Victory Inc. alleged that the show wrongly used the photo—which depicts actress Christine Baranski in 2022 glaring in the direction of SpaceX and Twitter owner Elon Musk—in a June 2022 broadcast.
