Nature Made Food Trademarks Blocked by ‘Made in Nature’ at Board

The maker of Nature Made supplements can’t register food trademarks over the opposition of Made in Nature LLC because it would likely confuse consumers, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board said Wednesday.

Pharmavite LLC’s “Nature Made” brand predates Made in Nature, but its registered trademarks for supplements cover distinct products from the also decades-old Made in Nature trademark registrations on various organic foods, the TTAB said.
