Morgan Lewis Dodges Disqualification Bid in Smart-Glasses Suit

Solos Technology Ltd. failed to convince a Massachusetts federal judge to prohibit Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP from representing EssilorLuxottica SA and its units in a patent dispute concerning Meta Platforms Inc.'s smart glasses technology.

Morgan Lewis and Solos don’t have an attorney-client relationship, Judge Allison Burroughs ruled in an order filed Monday in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Burroughs said Morgan Lewis didn’t act as Kopin Corp.’s primary counsel when the company was completing transactions for Solos to acquire its smart-glasses division.
