More ‘Milkcrate’ Sneakers Bring New Adidas Trademark Suit (1)

Milkcrate Athletics Inc. sued familiar foe Adidas North America Inc. in a federal Manhattan court, saying it wants “to control and dominate the youth and streetwear market,” and considers its “blatant infringement” of Milkcrate’s copyrights and trademarks by selling sneakers bearing the company’s logo “simply a cost of doing business.”

“Adidas clearly values and covets Milkcrate and evidently thinks Milkcrate is so cool” that it is “intentionally ripping-off Milkcrate’s name and logo,” according to a complaint filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
