Monster Energy Files Trademark Suit Over ‘Beast Bites’ Gummies

Monster Energy Co. accused a Florida supplement company of infringing its “Beast” trademark with “Beast Bites” workout supplements.

Monster recently acquired a “Beast” trademark covering nutritional supplements, and uses “Unleash the Beast” on its beverages, according to its complaint filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the Central District of California. Florida-based Beast Bites Supplements Inc. uses Beast as the dominant portion of its “Beast Bites” house mark, while also using “UNLEASH THE BEAST WITHIN” on the back of its packaging of creatine-infused gummies, the complaint said.
