Mitsubishi Electric, Sisvel Sue TCL Over Wireless Tech Patents

Mitsubishi Electric Corp. and Sisvel International SA allege that dozens of TCL Technology Group Corp.’s LTE-compliant mobile devices and data terminals infringe three patents related to technology for cellular communications networks, according to a federal lawsuit in California.

Sisvel first offered China-based TCL—whose brands include TCL, Alcatel, and Palm—a license to patents essential to the 4G cellular standard in August 2014, according to a complaint filed May 27 in the US District Court for the Central District of California.
