Mike Huckabee Sues Meta, Microsoft, Bloomberg Over AI Copyrights

The data sets that power AI products from Meta Platforms Inc., Bloomberg LP, and Microsoft Corp. contain around 183,000 pirated ebooks, according to a new copyright lawsuit from former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee.

The complaintfiled Tuesday in a federal court in Manhattan alleges the controversial “Books3" data set that contains over a 100 gigabytes of pirated books “quickly became a popular training data set for some of the biggest, most prolific, and most successful companies developing AI technology.”
