Microsoft’s LinkedIn, EBuddy Pause Patent Fight to Finalize Deal

Microsoft Corp.’s LinkedIn and EBuddy Technologies BV were granted a stay in EBuddy’s patent-infringement lawsuit while they finalize a deal to end the five-year-old case.

The parties “entered into a binding term sheet” on Nov. 12 and expect to finalize a settlement agreement by Dec. 3, according to a stipulation and order approved Tuesday by Magistrate Judge Christopher J. Burke in the US District Court for the District of Delaware. He stayed all deadlines until Jan. 16.
