Microsoft Corp. moved to dismiss parts of The New York Times Co.'s lawsuit against the tech giant and its partner OpenAI Inc., which accuses the companies of engaging in mass copyright infringement to develop ChatGPT.
Microsoft’s motion, filed on Monday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, seeks to dismiss the newspaper’s claims of contributory copyright infringement, violations of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, and misappropriation.
