Microsoft Sued Again Over Copyrights in Anti-Piracy Software

Microsoft Corp. was accused in federal court of stealing a software developer’s intellectual property rights in a digital rights management product after the plaintiff’s ex-employee shared proprietary source code with the tech giant.

Media Rights Technologies Inc. said Microsoft has embedded its stolen source code in “virtually every Microsoft product” from Xbox to Office 365, according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
