Microsoft Hit with Patent Suit Over Azure Platform Systems Tech

ToutVirtual Inc. filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Microsoft Corp. over cloud computing systems utilized by the tech giant’s Azure platform.

Azure’s systems infringe US Patent Nos. 8,799,431, 9,444,762, 10,810,050, 11,656,915, and 12,079,667, according to a complaint filed Monday in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. ToutVirtual said Microsoft acknowledged receiving a December notice from the patent owner concerning the patents but continued to infringe.
