Microsoft, Foxconn Settle Dispute Over Patent Royalties (1)

Microsoft Corp. and Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. settled a dispute over missed royalty reports under an agreement that allowed Hon Hai—better known as Foxconn—to use Microsoft’s patents, according to a filing in California federal court.

“Microsoft Corp. and Foxconn today jointly announce that both companies are going to forge a constructive new relationship based on mutual and reciprocal business interests,” a Microsoft spokesperson told Bloomberg Law. “As part of this new level of relationship, both companies have agreed to settle their respective legal claims including those pending in the California court.”
