Critics of a Microsoft artificial intelligence subsidiary voluntarily dismissed two data privacy proposed class actions that said the company improperly intruded on their conversations with JPMorgan Chase Bank.
Microsoft’s Nuance Communications offered voice recognition software that aimed to verify people’s identities with biometric information. The plaintiffs in both cases had invasion of privacy suits pending in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, saying Nuance recorded them without permission.
