Michael Jackson Rights Lawsuit Between Estate, Tribute Act Ends

A Michael Jackson tribute act and two arms of Jackson’s estate agreed to end a lawsuit over various forms of intellectual property associated with the late pop superstar.

MJL 12 LLC, which hosts the “MJ Live” tribute act, and the estate’s trademark and copyright licensing organizations agreed Friday to voluntarily dismiss the suit in the US District Court for the District of Nevada. Law firms for the two sides didn’t immediately respond to requests for comments on the nature of the agreement.
