Meta, Oakley Parent Push to Throw Out Smart-Glasses Patent Suit

Meta Platforms Inc. and EssilorLuxottica SA asked a federal court to dismiss Solos Technology Ltd.’s patent suit over smart glasses, arguing it fails to plausibly allege infringement and lacks a necessary plaintiff.

The case must be thrown out because Solos failed to include BlueRadios Inc., which claims co-ownership of the asserted patents, according to Meta’s brief supporting its motion to dismiss filed Wednesday in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
