Meta Moves to Toss ‘Litigious’ Eminem Publisher’s Copyright Case

Meta Platforms Inc. called a copyright suit by rapper Eminem’s publisher Eight Mile Style LLC’s “remarkably short on specifics” as it moved to toss the complaint from Michigan federal court.

The “notoriously litigious” publisher failed to identify all but two of 243 infringed Eminem songs were infringed on Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, Meta’s motion to dismiss in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan said. The suit also didn’t identify when or where the infringement occured or by whom, Meta said.
