Meta IP Judge Bashes Boies Schiller, But Lets Authors Amend Suit

A California federal judge devoted much of an order that granted authors’ bid to amend their AI-copyright lawsuit against Meta Platforms Inc. lambasting the plaintiffs’ attorneys for their handling of the proposed class action.

Since Boies Schiller Flexner LLP took the lead in representing the authors, plaintiffs’ counsel seems “so intent on bashing Meta that they are unable to exercise proper judgment about how to represent the interests of their clients,” Judge Vince Chhabria said, singling out the firm in his Wednesday order.
