Meta and Metacapital Management Agree To Settle Trademark Suit

Meta Platforms Inc. and Metacapital Management LP are settling a trademark lawsuit filed against the Big Tech behemoth after Facebook re-branded itself in 2021, according to a new court filing.

The parties said they have “reached agreement in principle on key terms of a settlement,” according to a joint letter addressed to US Magistrate Judge Katharine H. Parker and filed May 10 in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. The companies have requested 30 days to negotiate and finalize an agreement.
