Meta Again Sued by Swedish Label Over Music Library Copyrights

Meta Platforms Inc. infringes Epidemic Sound AB’s copyrights by making troves of its songs available to users on the social media behemoth’s platforms without a license, the Swedish music production company told a federal court.

Epidemic Sound, which owns the sound recordings and musical compositions for more than 50,000 tracks, said Meta has been offering its works through an “Audio Library” tool—a “curated collection” of purportedly licensed music available for Facebook, Instagram, and Whastapp users.
