Alex Southwell joined McDermott Will & Emery as a partner in its litigation practice group in New York, the firm announced Tuesday.
Southwell focuses on regulatory investigations from the Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general, and other federal, state, and local regulators, and criminal authorities, the firm said. He also advises on privacy and security risks related to data-driven product development and compliance with privacy and data protection laws.
Additionally, he maintains a white-collar practice, conducting high-profile internal investigations and compliance monitoring, the firm said.
He joins from Gibson Dunn.
