Maxell, VIZIO Settlement Ends Smart Television Patent Dispute

A federal appeals court granted dismissal of Maxell Ltd.'s recent appeal as the company winds down a patent litigation battle with VIZIO Inc. that began in 2021.

Maxell filed a motion last week, which was unopposed by VIZIO, asking the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit to drop its appeal of a California district court’s ruling on several of its patents. The court signed off on the motion Wednesday.
