Maxell Seeks U.S. Import Ban on Lenovo’s Motorola Smartphones

Maxell Ltd. filed a complaint with a U.S. trade agency seeking to block imports of at least 20 of Lenovo Group Ltd.’s most recent Motorola-branded smartphones, alleging infringement of six patents covering structures and features included in some mobile devices.

In the complaint, filed Wednesday at the U.S. International Trade Commission, Maxell seeks a permanent limited exclusion order that would bar imports of Lenovo products including versions of the Moto G Power, Moto G Stylus, Motorola Edge, Moto E, Razr, and Motorola One.
