Taiwanese manufacturer Coretronic Corp. should have to face Maxell Ltd.’s lawsuit accusing it of infringing projector patents, a federal magistrate judge recommended.
Maxell’s July 2024 complaint gave specific allegations and evidence showing how Coretronic, Optoma Corp., their units and sister companies act together to place the infringing products into a stream of commerce destined for the US and East Texas, Magistrate Judge J. Boone Baxter said in a report filed May 16 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas recommending their motions to dismiss be denied.
